More than 25,000 runners and wheelchair athletes are competing in the 39th L.A. Angeles Marathon presented by ASICS, which airs live on L.A.’s Very Own KTLA 5, KTLA+, and KTLA.com on Sunday, March 17.
The race begins at Dodger Stadium and weaves its way through the heart of L.A., passing by cultural landmarks such as the Chinatown Dragon Gate, Olvera Street, Los Angeles City Hall, Little Tokyo, Cathedral of our Lady of Angels, Capitol Records Tower, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Grauman’s Chinese Theater, The Troubadour, Rodeo Drive, and Route 66.
The 26.2-mile race ends in Century City.
Live coverage on KTLA begins at 6 a.m. The pro wheelchair race starts at 6:30 a.m., followed by the hand crank race at 6:35 a.m.
The pro women’s and elite age group women’s race starts at approximately 6:35 a.m. The pro men’s and full field races start at 7:00 a.m.
